GeoPITS, a DBA managed services company, had 800+ customer servers to monitor. But all issues were being attended to manually. For instance, if a query was running for an extended period, exerting immense load on the CPU, an email will be sent to the support team. Over a period of time the team would be faced with high volumes of emails. This approach was not only inadequate but also increasingly burdensome, given the number of servers and queries to monitor.
Recognizing the need for a proactive and efficient system, Cyces designed GeoOps.
